About Alice Robson Jewellery

Alice has been designing and making jewellery for over 30 years and running her own business since 2006. She trained at Central Saint Martins, graduating in 1990. She went on to work for internationally renowned jewellers Dinny Hall and John Donald, as well as gaining experience in sales and marketing roles in other industries.

After moving to East Sussex and starting a family, she began developing her own jewellery brand. Alice is now well known and sells her work directly from the studio, website and fairs locally and in London. Alice is a long-standing member of the Sussex Guild.

Alice has a wide range of unique pieces as well as a series of popular collections in gold and silver. Original collections drew inspiration from nature and naturally occurring geometries. For example the Pebble, Beaded and Pod collections – the most popular pieces from these are still available to purchase (see Old Favourites).

With a more architectural focus of late, Alice's collection of micro-box pendants and cube pieces celebrate the versatility of the simple cube form. The tiny hinged boxes have been embellished with textured surfaces, set stones and contrasting metals, while the cube, square and open-square pieces have been grouped together to create playful and intriguing jewellery. She aspires to produce pieces that are simple, elegant and easy to wear.

Today at least half of Alice's time is spent working on bespoke commissions or remodelling clients' unworn gold and gemstone jewellery into more contemporary pieces that can be worn and loved for years to come.

Another love of Alice's is working in leather. She has been honing her leather-making skills over the last few years and now sells a small, beautifully made collection of bags and accessories.
